Talksy includes lessons suitable for all ages. Hopefully, you'll find them amusing, maybe even useful.
Vocabulary has been the driving force behind their creation. I leave the grammar to the professionals.
If you don't like the built-in lessons — or simply want to expand on them — it's easy to create your own. Check out the Course Editor menu option.
Talksy uses your iPhone's dictation facility to listen to your response and compares it with the expected answer. Generally, you need to score more than 85% to move on to the next exercise.
Listen to yourself. iPhone dictation is very good and can often determine the correct response even when your actual pronunciation isn't that good.
Make sure to listen to yourself before moving on. Your ears are the best judge.
Remember, you're doing this to learn, not just to pass!
Sometimes dictation gets it wrong. Occasionally, iPhone dictation gets a response completely wrong and nothing you do seems to make a difference.
You may need to reduce the ≪Speaking Accuracy≫ threshold in settings in order to proceed. Please report any such exercises.
Don't be concerned if you can't achieve 100% all the time. If it sounds right, it probably is.
